In January 2026, MarineLink successfully completed the shipment of 35,000 metric tons of ammonium sulfate products from Huanghua Port, China, to Zimbabwe. The cargo comprised 30,000 metric tons of ammonium sulfate and 5,000 metric tons of granular ammonium sulfate, all packed in jumbo bags.
During this operation, jumbo bag protection standards were significantly upgraded to the highest level implemented to date. Comprehensive cargo protection measures were applied to prevent direct contact between the jumbo bags and the vessel’s cargo holds, with enhanced securing and separation arrangements designed to minimize movement-related abrasion during the voyage.
